Sue Toney Rayburn - Oak Ridger
Jun 6, 2016Sunday, May 29, 2016, in Hendersonville, Tenn., after an extended illness.A longtime resident of Oak Ridge and Knoxville, she was a member of Erin Presbyterian Church and was preceded in death by husband, Dr. Louis A. Rayburn. She is survived by one son, Stephen Van Hoozer; stepchildren, Susan Kiley, Charles Rayburn, Lee Rayburn and Linda Wabler; grandchildren, Leah and Ryan Van Hoozer, Paul Honeycutt, Madeline Kiley, Nicole and John Rayburn, Robert Wabler, lll, and several nieces and nephews.Mrs. Rayburn was an accomplished watercolor artist. Having lived in Arlington, Texas for many years, she was a member of the Texas Watercolor Society and the Southwest Watercolor Society. Ms. Rayburn also owned and managed an upscale clothing boutique in Texas for 20 years before returning to the East Tennessee area. In addition to her love of art, she enjoyed and became very proficient in other areas of interest such as Interior Design, antique collecting and restoration, flower gardening, landscaping, culinary, photography, house restoration and fishing.The family will receive friends Thursday, June 2, 2016, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., with funeral service to be held Friday, June 3, 10 a.m., Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel. The Rev. John Stuart is officiating.
